Blessings...

This picture has nothing to do with my blog post, it just cracks me up. Do you like her onsie bonnet? :)
This is my blessing #1 - Andrew. What a great kid. He's funny, he's sweet, he's cute, and he takes good naps (usually) and sleeps well at night (usually!). Love that kid. And I love the way he holds his stuffed animals.
Blessing #2 - This is how Emily was sleeping the other day. So funny. I love that little kid so much...
She looks a little weird here, but I love her little smiles. She smiles all the time, especially when I stick my tongue out at her or when I open my mouth really wide. It's hilarious. She's too adorable.
Blessing #3 - Emily's blessing. Even though Andrew was crying for his daddy the whole time, I felt so very blessed to have a worthy priesthood holder in Mike who was able to bless her. I'm excited for her to continue to grow and become her own little person. Here she is at my parents house. Could she be any more tiny?
I love her little blessing outfit. She looked so cute.
Mike was exhausted and fell asleep on the floor.
My dad and Emily
I hate to admit that I love it when she starts to cry, because she usually makes this silly face beforehand.
Here are the three of us. Andrew was running around somewhere and was impossible to track down. This is outside the church after she was blessed. I'm in love with her socks. And her dad.
Two of my loves
Emily finally got to meet her Grandma and Grandpa Jacobs. They loved her, she loved them, it was good. :)
I love this picture. I love my in-laws so very much.
I feel very blessed!!

Recent Pictures

I love that my skinny little baby looks pudgy here. I love her sweet little smile.
Babies look so angelic when they're sleeping.
I, on the other hand, do NOT look angelic when I'm sleeping. Here is me with my babies early in the morning when they came to see me. :)
She has a silly face in this picture, but I adore her little nose, and this picture really highlights it. That and her bright little eyes.
We love our little kids so much!

Getting To Know You...

Unbelievable as it is for me to imagine, our Little Miss Cuteness is two weeks old today!!! We have all really loved getting to know her, and are so grateful she's here and healthy.
Pinkie in her mouth after eating. Apparently that was necessary. This kid cracks us up so much. She makes the funniest faces and noises.
Sleepy little Emmie Pie. Still looks just like all the Jacobs girls. :)
Here's her pensive look. She did this for quite a while while I was changing her diaper.
"Shall I start screaming to eat now, or should I wait until she is ready to eat her lunch?"And here's her big brother Andrew. This was his first ever ice cream cone on the Fourth of July. He was pretty impressed. Also, this kid is amazing. Today he shocked me by counting to ten all on his own. I had NO idea he could do that. He is also the sweetest little boy I could ever ask for. Lucky, lucky, lucky me!!!! Love these kiddos.
Emily on the 4th of July. She definitely looks like she's done taking pictures.

Family Pictures

Me and Mike with our little daughter (by the way, it's still weird and awesome that we have a little girl now!)
The whole family! I can't believe my luck. The best husband, the funniest, nicest little son, and the sweetest little daughter.
Sleeping little angel. I could just stare at my sleeping babies all day.
"You may kiss the royal hand."
My "little" guy. He has been a little jealous lately of the baby. He's been really sweet to her, he just likes to sit in her seat, ask for hugs while I'm feeding the baby, etc. I'm really proud of how he's adjusting. I love my little guy.
I love my little family!!

Little Miss Emily

Want to see the cutest little girl on the planet? Okay, here you go.

Absolutely love her little newborn smiles. She is such a sweet, calm, beautiful little girl. I am just absolutely smitten with her.
And so is her big brother Andrew. It took a week for him to realize she was staying and to acknowledge her existence, but now he's pretty fond of his little "Bebe Em-a-me."
Giving her a kiss on the head.
Em looks kind of weird in this one, but I love it still.
Hugs. Makes me want to freeze this moment in time forever.
He wanted me to let go so he could do it on his own. No way, bub.
Relaxing with Daddy.
Tiny princess with her favorite daddy.
This outfit had me squealing with happiness all day. I am in love with her little slippers.
My precious girl.
No more pictures. Seriously, Mommy.

But how can I resist?!

First Doctor's Appointment and Little Picasso

Last week my mom and I took Andrew and Emily to their doctor's appointment. Emily was not happy to not be eating. Andrew was really tired, and tried to escape the whole time while Em was calm until she realized that she should be eating. All the time. They're both healthy, Emily's back up to her birth weight, and Andrew is doing great as well.
I think I can actually hear her saying "QUIT IT!" here.

In a calmer moment.
Andrew was ALL over the place....
Drop and give me 20.
Okay, so he wasn't actually doing pushups, but I love that it came out that way.
Andrew was very serious about his painting. He got it ALL over the place. Cute little guy.
Serious little artist.

Room for Everyone

Right now I'm in a weird transition period where I no longer just have one baby to take care of. Not to mention the fact that Andrew hasn't been a baby for a while now... I had a big fear ever since I became pregnant with Emily that I wouldn't love her like I love Andrew. I just couldn't imagine having that same relationship with another kid. Deep down, I knew it wouldn't really be that way. And it's not. I realize now that I DON'T love Emily just like I love Andrew. I love them the same amount, but I love them differently because they ARE different. I don't know if I'm explaining this correctly, because I'm not entirely sure how to put it. I'm learning every day of my life that my heart has room for everyone I will let in. And nothing will open your heart more than family. I feel so happy and grateful for my husband, for my new sweet little girl, and for my little Andrew - my very first little baby.

Big guy all ready for church. Please ignore all the junk in the background.

"Cheese!" What a handsome little guy!!!!!
Tromping around in his boots and diaper. He is just so hilarious.

I will always love this little face.
