I know you've been dying to read my first post. Well, here it is! I don't know if it's just the pregnancy hormones, or if I'm just an over-emotional mess, but this movie made me cry like a little kid the other night. WHY was I crying you may ask? Because of all the trouble he was going through? Maybe because everything turned out so happily in the end? No. I cried because I love George Bailey so much, and he isn't a real person. Yes. Seriously. Irrational? Yes. Maybe even a bit crazy? Definitely. But at least I can blame it on the little jellybean.

Hooray! You've finally posted. Karen before you think you are TOO crazy just remember me and a little movie called A Little Princess. Yes Jelly Bean makes you cry irrationally but so does the Barnard genes. :) I need to watch that movie. I need to own that movie. Cute little Jelly Bean! Can't wait to find out if J.B. (oh J.B. that's good initials) is a Jelly Bean or a Jelly Beany.
Um, yeah. That's twice now. There was the Little Women sob-fest, too, don't forget...
lol! it's definitly not a barnard thing. i watched peter pan awhile back and cried because that little baby boy just shouldn't have been so high in the sky with nothing holding him but good thoughts!! welcome to motherhood. and the blogosphere!!
Karen, I am here to tell you that I, too, cried over a movie recently for the very same reason. I was on pain meds after my foot surgery, and was confused and weepy almost the entire time, so I guess I have an excuse, too. But frankly, it has always made me sad that awesome fictional characters aren't real. I should only have watched documentaries while I was sick. ...except then I would have cried because real people had hard times.
I've got to go watch something happy now.
(Guess what!...guess who is going to see you in about 67 hours!...guess who can hardly contain herself for joy!...quit guessing and be ready to get hugged!)
