We moved to Springfield at the end of November, and I'll just be honest, it hasn't been the easiest move for me.
I love living here and all, but it's been tough to feel connected or something.
So I'm here to beg.
The kids and I are very social people, and we homeschool so we are basically home all day. I love quiet, home time as much as the next gal, but sometimes I've just got to see people. And the fellow customers at Aldi just aren't cutting it. Something about them saying things like, "I guess some people just have to bring all their kids to the store." or "Wow. You have your hands full. I'm glad it's not me." just doesn't give me warm fuzzies all over.
So I'm looking for friends who want to meet up at the park, or have a playdate, or do an art project together, or go to the Discovery Center, or go grocery shopping together (think of the fun pranks we could pull on people if one of us combined our kids for awhile and let everyone imagine I have 10 kids- think of the fun comments!) or just whatever! We need buddies.
And I need gym buddies. We go to the Y. I need someone who I know will be waiting for me. It'll help me stay motivated to get there every day, and someone who will push me and make it fun.
So yeah, I'm begging. Let's be friends! Let's make our kids be friends! :)
This blog post is weird, but I'm posting it anyway.
Sincerely,
Someone who now has the song "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" stuck in her head
P.S. I hate trying to diaper a baby who won't stop trying to escape.
P.P.S. Hi. I kind of want to go hide under my covers now.
P.P.P.S. In conclusion - day buddies needed. Gym buddies needed.
P.P.P.P.S. Sincerely,
Someone who now has the "My Buddy" commercial stuck in her head. (My buddy. My
buddy! My buddy and me! See here: https://youtu.be/OdximU6Ao00
P.P.P.P.P.S. Move along, now. Nothing else to see here.
