Singin' in the Rain

A couple weeks ago, Mike came home during the rain because it was raining and he wanted to let the kids try "engineer raincoats."  The kids were ecstatic over their garbage bag protection, and played for quite a while out there.  And they were adorable.  (Charlie was napping, as was I.)

The look of adoration is so priceless.

And because Charlie is so cute, too.

Catching Up Before #4

Here I am on Sunday - little guy has definitely outstayed his welcome.
She is too cute.

Silly kid

Our good friends the Bees had us over last week for dinner, and then the kids got to feed the baby calf.  It was adorable, and the kids had so much fun.  I love that family so much!

Andrew and his buddy Ben.

Charlie enjoyed chasing the calves, mooing.

It was a chilly morning, and they got to play the Kindle and my phone.  They had a fun time, and they were adorable.

I got out some paints the other day and the two oldest played with it for SO long.  They were very creative, and when Emily realized what I meant by "They're fingerpaints - that means you can use your hands to paint" she really went to town - as you can see here.

For church yesterday, Andrew asked to do Emily's hair.  I took these pictures before the finished product.  There were lots more bows than this when he finished.

She was a LOT more patient with him than she is with me.

The kids accessorized.  You can't tell very well but Andrew is also wearing sandals and his pants have a hole in the knee.  We noticed that when we went inside the chapel.  I managed to fix Em's hair but Andrew snuck another bow in at the last second.  They are so stinking cute.

They were pretending to sleep.  After I took this picture, Andrew asked me if he was 'as cute as a kangaroo rat being born.'

Spring!

We have LOVED knowing that winter is behind us, and that Spring is here to stay!  (for a while anyway)  So here's how we've been spending it lately
I love all the "comfy" positions this kid gets in.  Apparently he needed Legos to sleep.

We got home from church the other day and Charlie insisted on wearing Emily's headband.  "I fancy."  He wore it for hours.

They love it when they have a "picnic."

Cute girl

We went out for a nice walk the other day.  It was so awesome.  The kids were so excited to explore.  Can I just say how cute my boys are?

Little Explorers

Emmie and her swollen, 9 month pregnant mama.

I'm pretty much ready to have our little guy come out and meet his family.

"Mommy, I want to sneeze on a dandelion!"

Admit it.  You're jealous of that silhouette.

Charlie loved picking dandelions.  He also really enjoyed hitting them with all his might and making the seeds go everywhere while he laughed like a mad man.

We are so happy for this season, and so happy to have our family all here with Uncle Tom visiting!

Kale, Celery, and Cabbage - oh my!

Spring is upon us, and that means garden time!  A couple weeks ago, we put celery, cabbage, and kale in the ground because they are cold weather garden veggies.  When I say 'we' I mean Mike and the kids.  They were so cute out there.  They all insisted on hats, and Emily's in particular cracked me up.
Gangsta' baby

The four cutest helpers I've ever seen.

The look on Charlie's face is the cutest thing ever.  Some of the "help" was a little less helpful.  :)
So far, our vegetables are doing really well, and those little sprouts are just adorable.

You Know You're 9 Months Pregnant If...

I was up in the night a few nights ago (let's be real, I'm up 5-10 times a night at this point) and couldn't stop laughing at myself.  Maybe this will only be funny if you are sleep-deprived, but I thought I'd share anyway.

-If you find yourself telling your 3 year old that she has to hold it, because Mommy's going to go potty first, you just might be 9 months pregnant.

-If you feel that everything you do deserves at least a slow clap, and things like bending down and cleaning up a spill, shaving your legs, or carrying a screaming toddler to their room deserve a crowd-on-their-feet-cheering-for-Rudy type applause --- you might be 9 months pregnant.

-If you look AND feel like a beached whale in real trouble when trying to get out of bed, you may be a 9 month pregnant lady.

-If you have lost your womanly walk and now look more like a 1980's Weeble with sass, you might just be 9 months pregnant.

-If, with every pain in your stomach, you are begging and wishing and hoping and waiting to be in even more and infinitely more intense pain, you may be 9 months pregnant.

I don't know if these were funny to anyone else, but they sure were to me -especially at 3 in the morning. :)

Emily Hilarity

Emily is almost four, and she is getting to be quite the hilarious little miss.
Today she saw one of the pictures from the baby shower the other day and she was super excited.  She kept laughing at it and talking about how silly she is.  Then she stops, sighs, and says, "I love me."

She told Daddy the other day that she needed an Emily trip.  Mike took her to Sonic for a burger and ice cream.  They had a great time, and she was so excited all afternoon talking about it.  It was quite adorable, and we just love that little girl.

When they got their cheeseburgers, Emily opened hers up and said, "Oh no, Daddy!  It's gots SALAD on this!"  After removing the lettuce and tomato, Mike gave it back and then she noticed the mayo.  "Oh, no, Daddy!  It's gots SLIME on it!"  Mike convinced her to try it and she deemed it "dewicious!"

She calls us sir, mister, buddy, helper, etc.  So funny!  We love our funny little girl.  I know there's MILLIONS of things she says that make us laugh, but my pregnancy brain is not allowing anything else in.  :)

Showered with Love

You know how some people are just so nice, you can hardly believe it?  Mike has the privilege of working with some amazing people who are generous, kind, and loving!  One of these people is Stephanie!
She threw me a baby shower the other week.  We had a small group, but we laughed and had such a good time.  I was so grateful for the diapers and wipes, etc that we received.  It made me even more excited to meet our little guy.
Here's the adorable diaper cake Steph made!  The lion is a BIG hit already with all three of my kids, so we'll have to wrestle it out of their small little fists.

After the guests left, Mike and the kids showed up for a little mini party.  Here's Andrew making a sugar scrub.

I really love this guy, by the way.

Testing out the scrub.

One of the cutest parts of the party was the photo props she made.  The whole thing was so adorable!!!!!  I was shocked that Andrew wanted to participate.  As you can tell, he also really enjoyed participating in the treats provided.

Charlie wasn't really sure what was going on.

Us!

Yeah, he's cute.

Emily LOVED it and wanted to take picture after picture.

Cutest little button-nosed girl ever.

I love that she's puckering up under the lips.

What a man!

I LOVE this picture.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Stephanie!  And thank you for those of you who were able to come help us celebrate.  Love you all!
